Trying to use Index Match for staff rota

Hi guys,

Im currently trying to have excel look for a staff members name on my rota and input their hours into another coloumn on the spreadsheet so I can accurately work out their hours. Ive been using Vlookup and hlookup but cannot get excel to find the name and input the hours. Ive also used Sumif but to no avail. Can anyone shed light on my situation? Ive tried to attach the file but it may not have succeeded. Let me know if you need it if you can help
