Display Pivot Table Report for accounts from General Leger
Hi there,
I have created a general ledger as per the below. The dropdown is from a list
ledger.jpg
I have taken the dropdown menu from a defined list.
What I would like to do is create a report that can show me something like this:

I would any and all help! Im stuck and need to get this done soon. Thank you in advance!

Hi Welcome to Forum,
Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.
Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
If I helped, Don't forget to add reputation (click on the little star ★ at bottom of this post)
Don't forget to mark threads as "Solved" (Thread Tools->Mark thread as Solved)

How will you defined which amount is money going in or money going out. Put some example for better understanding.
# DATE From Account To account Narration Amount
1 1/31/2012 Account 2 Account 3 Amount moved from account 1 to 3 5000.00
If the Amount is from the "From Account ie Account1" then it will subtract from account2
If the Amount is going to the "To Account ie Account2t" then it will add to account3

Just a few questions:
1. For some reason the narration is still not coming up in the pivot table. Please do advise how to get this up.
2. Is it possible to see that account the money is coming from or going to in the pivot table? As well as the date.
3. How can I feed in opening blances in the account?

I haven't used Google Docs so I can't say. If you have problems applying the solution, there is a forum on this site called "For Other Platforms(Mac, Google Docs, Mobile OS etc)" where you could ask for help. You can post a link to this thread so that the volunteers that monitor that forum can see what you are trying to do.
