External Data Link timestamp

Trying to see if its possible to pull a file modified date/time stamp off of an external data link.

Example:

File is located at
X:\\192.168.1.1\some\random\folder\file.txt

I've already imported the file and linked it through excel and all works...

But if I modify the file I have no way of knowing if the file actually updated on the worksheet.

Is there any code to pull a timestamp on the external file and place it in a cell?
